Privacy Policy

Lightdated ("we") is a space-science channel run by its creator. This policy covers the website lightdated.com. It also covers Lightdated's internal publishing tools. These tools publish Lightdated's own videos to Lightdated's own accounts on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, and read those accounts' statistics and comments. The tools are not offered to anyone else.

The website

The website has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for up to 14 days for security, and then deletes them.

Data from YouTube, Instagram and TikTok

When we connect our own Lightdated accounts to our tools, the platforms give us access tokens. Those tokens let our tools act only for Lightdated's own accounts. We use this access only to:

• upload our own videos and set their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions and publishing time;
• read the statistics of our own channels and posts, to decide what to make next;
• read public comments on our own posts, so that we can reply to them and moderate them.

We do not sell, rent or share this data. We do not use it for advertising and we do not transfer it to third parties. It is stored encrypted on our own server, and people only see it when they act for the channel. We keep comments only as long as we need to respond to them, and never longer than 90 days. We keep statistics in aggregate form only.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Our use of YouTube API Services also follows the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Revoking access

Access can be revoked at any time:

• for Google, at myaccount.google.com/permissions;
• for Instagram, under Settings → Apps and websites;
• for TikTok, under Settings → Security → Apps and services.

Data deletion

To have any data we hold about you deleted, email hello@lightdated.com with the subject "Data deletion". This covers, for example, a comment you left on our posts. Tell us the account name and platform. We will confirm and delete the data within 30 days.

Children

Our content is for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
